Languages are so beautiful. There are thousands of languages spoken in the world today and each of them are a unique form of communication to be passed down from generation to generation. My first language was Wolof which is the national language of Senegal, and I learned English upon going to school. I want to become super fluent in Wolof again. I have taken Chinese for 3 years now and actually lived and learned in the capital, Beijing for a month last summer. Finally this summer I have dived into learning Arabic! I think I will be a lifelong learner and absorber of languages so that I can connect with as many cultures and people as possible.

Here are some photos of me in China: Me at the Great Wall(Wheww it was high but I survived), me and my host sister at Starbucks, and my favorite mango drink from a little bakery near my Chinese school.
